Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers FREE TAX HELP to prepare both federal and state tax returns for low-income households, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance preparing their own tax returns. Special consideration is given to those 60+ in age. Appointments in person should be under $63,000 Adjusted Gross Income. If your income is higher, please refer to our online services.
What documents will I need to bring?
- Social Security cards for ALL persons claimed on the tax return.
- Photo ID for taxpayer AND spouse.
- Documentation of your 2023 income (W-2 and 1099 forms).
- Copy of last year's tax return, if possible.
- To set up direct deposit, if desired, please bring a canceled check or your bank routing and account information.

- After their questions, you will enter your income and TaxSlayer will find your deductions & credits
- Then submit your return, and you will receive notification once your return has been accepted. If something needs to be corrected, the software will let you know.
