What is Fiscal Sponsorship?
- Fiscal Sponsorship is an important and useful tool for the charitable community. Fiscal sponsorship is when a nonprofit organization (called the Sponsor) extends its tax-exempt status to
select groups (called the Sponsored Organization) engaged in activities and projects related to the mission and goals of the Sponsor.
- On behalf of the Sponsored Organization, MAHUBE-OTWA will establish and operate a designated account for the organization's project that is segregated from the Sponsor's fiscal books. All
amounts deposited into a project's account will be used in its support project, less administrative charges, if any, and subject to the conditions as set forth in the Fiscal Sponsor
Agreement.
